This item is for the purchase of one (1) mowing attachment to be added to a tractor purchased through the City of Denton’s ongoing contract with Ag Power. One (1) Tiger model RT60B boom mower attachment will be purchased for the Parks Department. The mower and attachment will be replacing a flail mower that the department currently has and will be used for the maintenance of right of ways. The flail mower is a 2008 model that has reached the replacement criteria of age and maintenance and will be sold at auction.

 

The City of Denton is standardizing to Tiger Mowers for mowing attachments (Exhibit 2). This equipment is not available from local vendors.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

Award the purchase of one (1) boom mower attachment to Tiger Corporation in the amount of $62,658.

ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT

 

The purchase and delivery of the tractor with the mowing attachment will occur within 180 days of purchase order issuance. 

 

FISCAL INFORMATION

 

The attachments will be funded from Parks Department Operating Fund account number 810301408.1355.30100 using Certificate of Obligation funding.  Requisition #133000 has been entered in the Purchasing software system.
