BACKGROUND

 

Denton Municipal Electric has been approached by a municipality interested in the Renewable Denton Plan and lowering their own power purchase costs.  The municipality purchases 100% of its energy from contracted suppliers.  This municipality has requested that DME provide options for supplying full requirements energy service.

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends continued discussions with the municipality to develop Terms and Conditions for DME to provide Energy Management Services.

 

ESTIMATED SCHEDULE OF PROJECT

 

The Service Implementation Date is to be determined 

 

BID INFORMATION

 

Denton Municipal Electric would be an alternate bidder to a municipality’s RFP for full requirements energy supply service.
