Consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton authorizing an agreement between the City of Denton, Texas and Giving Hope, Inc.; authorizing the expenditure of funds; and providing for an effective date. ($1,975)

BACKGROUND

 

This Agreement allows for the total expenditure of $1,975 from Council Contingency Funds.  (Council Member Keely Briggs $725; and Mayor Chris Watts $1,250)

 

Key provisions of the Agreement include:

 

§                     Funds shall be used by Giving Hope, Inc. for Homeless Prevention assistance.

 

§                     In addition to other reporting requirements, documentation in the form of cancelled checks and/or corresponding receipts specifically detailing expenditure of funds for the purpose provided is required for reimbursement from these designated funds.

 

FISCAL INFORMATION

 

Funding for the Agreement will come from Council Contingency Funds.
