Hold a public hearing and consider adoption of an ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas, regarding a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from the Agriculture Future Land Use Designation to the Regional Mixed Use Future Land Use Designation on approximately 16.524 acres generally located north of West University Drive (US 380), approximately 2,800 feet west of Golden Hoof Drive, in the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas; adopting an amendment to the City's Official Future Land Use Map; providing for a penalty in the maximum amount of $2,000.00 for violations thereof; providing for a severability clause and an effective date. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted (4-2) to recommend approval of the request. Motion for approval by Commissioner Riggs and second by Commissioner Ketchersid.
