BACKGROUND
 
The Oaktopia Festival will feature live music by national and local bands.  A variety of vendors, artists, and food trucks will be present at Williams Trade Square, city-owned property, located east of the Wells Fargo Bank building on Hickory Street.  Bands will be playing music on the Courthouse lawn from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and at Williams Trade Square from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
 
Event organizers expect an attendance of approximately 3,000 paid attendees.
 
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW  
 
City Council approved the request for an exception to the noise ordinance and to increase the decibels from 70 to 75 for the 2013 Oaktopia Festival.
